How to Download YouTube Thumbnails on Android
Save a YouTube thumbnail straight to your Android gallery using Chrome and a browser-based downloader.
Android's Chrome browser makes this one of the simplest mobile downloads there is, since downloaded files land directly in your Downloads folder and are visible to your gallery app.
1. Copy the video link
In the YouTube app, tap Share under the video and select Copy Link.
2. Paste it into the downloader
Open Chrome (or your default browser), go to ThumbnailGrab, tap the input field, and paste the link. Tap Get Thumbnails or press enter on the keyboard.
3. Download the JPG
Tap Download next to the resolution you want. Chrome saves the file to your device's Downloads folder and shows a confirmation at the bottom of the screen.
Most Android gallery apps automatically index the Downloads folder, so the image typically appears in your gallery within a few seconds. If it doesn't, open the Files app and browse to Downloads.
Alternative: long-press to save
You can also long-press the thumbnail preview on the results page and choose "Download image" from the context menu — this works the same way without needing the dedicated button.
